Mission:

Shot in the Dark Productions through the discovery of emerging talent presents award winning, thought provoking theatrical works in an intimate setting and provides a place that both welcomes and challenges directors, actors, and audiences with bold, unique, and original theatrical experiences. 

History:

Shot In The Dark Productions is an Iowa not-for-profit 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt charitable organization.  Shot In the Dark (“SITD”) has been providing high quality theatrical entertainment, with a focus on bold, unique, and original dramatic and musical productions that provide a distinctive theatrical experience in the Sioux City metro area. SITD is an all-volunteer organization. From directors to actors, set construction to technical crew, costumes to orchestra, and marketing to maintenance, dozens of dedicated volunteers spend an estimated 8,000 – 10,000 hours per year contributing to the success of the organization. SITD has earned its reputation as a first-rate theatrical organization, with shows more often sold-out and hundreds of satisfied patrons. This season at Shot in the Dark those satisfied patrons enjoyed the musical and dramatic talents of more than two hundred local actors, singers, dancers, musicians, technical crew, set builders, costume designers, directors and crew members.
