The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Dear Friends, Artists, Patrons of Siouxland,

The murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis has sparked discussions here at home, around the country, and the world. While we all may react to these events differently, especially while in the throes of a global pandemic, we believe that the current discussions we are having as a society are not only necessary, but long overdue.

We at Shot In The Dark Productions (SITDP) would like to take the first step and apologize to the Black, Indigenous and People of Color in our community as well as other disenfranchised groups for not speaking up on these issues sooner.  We stand with and support you, especially in these trying times. Your voices matter and we would like you to know that you are heard.

Words of support will not be enough, we must follow through with action. SITDP is committed to change and to be the change moving forward. We are dedicated to educating ourselves and reaching out to better serve our community as a whole here in Siouxland.

At SITDP, it is our job as artists, designers and performers to give a voice to the stories of humanity and bring them to life to learn from, grow and celebrate and inspire. We will continue to strive toward this mission to amplify your voices and tell your stories with the respect and dignity that is deserved.

We want to hear from you. The good, the bad, the ugly; we want to hear it all and will be creating an action plan within the months to follow based on community feedback.

We are ready to listen, learn, and to do our part to help usher in positive change.

Please share your ideas, stories, questions, concerns, resume at thegoodthebadtheugly@shotinthedarkproductions.org or fill out the form below.

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors at Shot in the Dark Productions
